FAQ's
Q: How much money can I expect to save by using a Smarter Car Buyer consultant when I’m buying or leasing a car?
- Saving hundreds of dollars can be expected while saving thousands of dollars on your car deal is not unusual. Your savings is determined by several factors. There are twelve (12) profit areas for the dealer in a car deal. We will save you money in all of these areas when buying a car.
- SCB advisory consultants are trained automotive industry buying and leasing experts that advise our clients and act on our clients’ behalf to perform automobile buying or leasing services.
- No! SCB is not a car dealer or a car leasing company. Smarter Car Buyers is strictly a consulting service.
- Because of our previous experience and knowledge of the automobile industry, we can procure the vehicle for less than you can as an independent buyer. Car dealers know that we are professionals and deal with us accordingly. Dealers know that, unlike most independent car buyers, we can utilize car dealers outside the immediate area.
- Our clients pay us for our car buying services and we do not receive nor will we accept any compensation from the car dealer or salesman. In everything we do, we have our clients’ best interests at heart. Most Internet web sites that offer car buying help are actually car dealers in disguise or are paid by car dealers for your referral or personal information. If these sites are being paid by dealers that is where their loyalty will lie.
Q: Am I a payment buyer?
-
If you have adopted the thinking, “I don’t care what it costs as long as I can afford the monthly payment” when buying a car, you open up multiple possibilities of falling victim to a car dealer’s or salesperson’s desire to built excessive profit for him or herself into your deal….all without your knowledge that it is happening. You are a prime candidate for:
the lease switch, being in negative equity until your car is paid for, or being in a contract with a balloon payment at the end. Recently In Jacksonville a dealer began advertising several cars with very low monthly payments. The ad specified that it was not a lease but that the customer owned the car. The trick? The car was financed for 60 months and the last payment on the contract was over $6000. There are many aspects that should be considered other than the payment.
- How much is this car really going to cost me by the time I make all the payments?
- What is the total of my payments, my down payment, my trade allowance, etc?
- Why is the payment so low?
- Am signing a loan contract or a lease contract?
- Does the contract have a balloon payment at the end?
- In four years when this car has 80,000 miles on it, will I be able to trade it?
- What will I still owe on a car in five years when it has almost 100,000 miles on it?
- No. In order to maintain unquestionable integrity our company and its consultants do not receive nor will we accept any compensation or gratuity of any kind from the auto manufacturer, dealer, or salesman.
- No. We are totally independent and are not affiliated with any auto manufacturer or dealer. We are not a car dealer or leasing company.
- Yes. We can arrange for the finance source or dealer to include this amount in your finance contract. You save hundreds if not thousands on your car purchase or lease with no money out of pocket. That’s a Smarter Car Buyer!
- No. Smarter Car Buyers will also handle used cars.
